Indy's Own $20 Burger   July 23, 2008
Every city's got a $20 burger and these days, Indy's no different. While I'm a bit partial to the Kobe burger on game day at Ruth's Chris, these days, Morton's is where you're more likely to find a luscious chunk of grilled USDA Prime sirloin on a... more

Some tigers are saber-toothed and stuffed; others are rendered in chrome. Two museums brought me closer to wildness this summer: the Indiana State Museums Footprints exhibition and the new Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI. At the ISM,... more
The building housing theIndiana State Museum is beautiful, inside and out. I have been there once with a friend and now that the days are getting hotter and going to the pool everyday is getting a little old, I thought I'd let you in on my family's... more

If you're missing the old Tavola di Tosa, you might want to leave tomorrow evening free. Chef Tony Hanslits will knock out some Italian nosh to compliment the Italian wines for a tasting from Kobrand. Look for more than 30 selections from Sicily to... more
Good thing Joss Whedon doesn't come out with new show tunes often or I'd never get a blog post done! (Best. T-Shirt. Ever.) This past weekend ranged from the ridiculous (one classy beer fest patron publicly barfing at L'ex in the middle of service)... more

Going out to eat with children can prove to be a challenge at times. Thankfully our little family has perfected the art of eating out (at least to the extent that we can control.) We come prepared with quiet toys that hold some sort of novelty with... more

Prairie Nights indykari  July 21, 2008

I told you I'd love it. And I did. This past weekend was Heroes & Victors at Symphony on the Prairie. We packed a picnic and arrived an hour before show time to set up our blanket. The Symphony performed theme songs from great sports... more

What a great property, what a great party
We hosted a large party over the weekend that brought 50+ people to the Hotel Indigo in Fishers from around the country. The staff at the hotel worked with us in organizing the event and was extremely helpful in ironing out the smallest of details. Our guests were all extremely impressed at the quality of hotel for the price and we heard many rave reviews of the rooms. For our party we utilized the Heritage Room and it was the perfect size for our event. The room looked beautiful and the staff was cooperative in setup. I heard many positive comments about the quality of the food for our event and the overall atmosphere. If you're looking for a hotel with character that creates an experience rather than just another run-of-the-mill property I highly suggest Hotel Indigo. The pooch in the lobby is also insanely cute. more

Fantastic Selection Mantels and Lighting
The selection and quality of mantels and lighting is the best that I have seen in the area. In addition there were several spectacular/unique pieces of furniture that really stood out above the other stores I have visited. I spoke with the owner who explained that they are on buying trips every week. more
